As one of the biggest selling baseball video games in the last few years, this game has all the major teams since 1901 – lots and lots of teams to choose from. After choosing your team, you can let the computer play the season for you or you can take control of the team managing all areas of the game.

Choose your line up, pitching rotation, rewarding the minor league players by bringing them up. Each team has its own minor league system and a full 25 man roster. And each season starts with an amateur draft just like the bigs.

One interesting twist is that this video baseball game allows you to easily play all stars or teams from different eras against each other. This alone can make for very interesting game play.

The game has a strong developed fan base and this active community is in considerable contact with the developers regarding bug reports and game improvements.

This fan base has allowed the establishment of online leagues using either the desktop or the online version. Many of the game features and improvements come in the area of improving online play and interactivity.

One drawback of the game is that the game AI sometimes has difficulty keeping up with the complexity of this video baseball game. An upgrade would go a long way in keeping it at the top of the heap.
